Origin of the misinformation campaign
The misinformation campaign originates from Russia and in particular from Svetlana Gorbunova of the company called Rods RU.

There are a number of anomalies about claims made by these people, and we refer to their own web sites in may cases to highlight the contradictions between claims made and the evidence presented.

What a convoluted tale it is to dissect. We only present some of the evidence and leave it to you the reader to investigate and decide.

What prompted the misinformation campaign
The warning about Imitations has been on Dr Valery Uvarov's site for over 5 years. Is it a coincidence that there was publication of an article on the Wands of Horus in Nexus magazine in the Australian, New Zealand, US, UK and Russian editions early this year?

More about a claimed elaborate deception

Dr Valery Uvarov produces 9 types of wands, including 3 types of Quartz wands and three types of Mono wand.

Two of these, Mono-6 and Mono-9 contain a single 6 or 9 faceted crystal. There is a considerably higher quantity and quality of crystal required to produce such a type of wand.

Depth of Information Available

 Compare the information www.rods.ru site, or the www.egyptianhealingrods.com. On the Rods RU site the instruction manual is 3 pages. Contrast this with the 130 page Instructions from Dr. Valery Uvarov, the 29 page Selection Guide, 100 page book The Wands of Horus and the 103 pages of Extracts from the New Book.

Review these books and you can see the origin of a lot of the information on the www.rods.ru and www.egyptianhealingrods.com sites.

Who is the manufacturer and who is the distributor?

On the www.rods.ru site there is the claim "We had started the production of Rods much earlier than Uvarov began it. Moreover, he had been working as a distributor of our Rods for several years". They then claim that "Valery Uvarov introduces himself as a distributor of our product and acknowledges our company to produce The Wands of Horus in his book 'The Wands of Horus'", then offers as evidence this translation from the 1999 book.
The KOVTUN® company, distributor of the "Cylinders of Pharaoh" and the "Cylinders of Pharaoh HORUS" series, announces that production of this series has been stopped since April, 1999 due to production of a new series the "WANDS OF HORUS"

The "WANDS OF HORUSKONT", "WANDS OF HORUSQUARTZ" and "WANDS OF HORUSCRYSTAL" are produced by KOVTUN® company

What is not told is that Uvarov had his book published by the company Dilia on the recommendation of  Serguey Gorbunov.  Gorbunov had a contact at the publishing company and had this statement inserted into the book just before the publishing run, without Uvarov's knowledge.

However it is an admission that they were manufacturing using Dr Valery Uvarov's designs in 1999 to patents (dated 1998) and using  trademarks held by Valery Uvarov at that time. Note that there is no mention of this in the Company history on either the www.rods.ru site, or the www.egyptianhealingrods.com site.
More History Anomalies

On both the www.rods.ru site and the www.egyptianhealingrods.com site under the Company History sections there are contradictory notes.
  • 1997 having studied the works by I. Shmelev, A. Martynov and A. Golod we launched the production of the Rods according to the Principle of the Golden Section and  began to  process them in the Pyramid. First Rods under the trade mark  "The Cylinders of Pharaoh-HORUS" were manufactured.
  • 1998 A test set of the Rods under the  trade mark  "The Cylinders of Pharaoh-HORUS" according to a technology, suggested by V. Uvarov were manufactured, but not launched into serial production due to remaining imperfections.
Certificate Anomalies

On the www.egyptianhealingrods.com site under Certificates of Authenticity you will find this certificate image covering the  2000-2002 production.

Note the blue and white sticker at the top right. It is a sticker over the words "The Wands of Horus"

However the company history states "1999 - We started the production of  The Rods-KONT, with the rod-like fillings.  The Rods-QUARTZ, The Rods-CRYSTAL - Rods's names with QUARTZ filling , processed in the Pyramid. "

As an aside, referring to the sticker, S Gorr is really Serguey Gorbunov. In Russian Gorr is a word sounding very much like Gor , which means Horus. So this is a clumsy attempt to to say something like "Made by S. Horus". You will find reference to him here.
Rods RU 2000 Cetificate
Stolen Information?

On the www.wands.ru site is the statement "In his book "The Wands of Horus" (2nd Edition, enhanced and revised, published by "Dilja" in 2000) Valery Uvarov tells us in the chapter "Sources of Information" (record No 2) that all the medical researches concerning the Wands of Horus have been offered to him by S. Gorbunov. However, S. Gorbunov (the CEO of our company) has never investigated the Wands of Horus, produced by Uvarov, and never offered his researches to Valery Uvarov. "

The correct translation of the Bibliography reference no. 2 is "The results of medical experiments collated by S. Gorbunov".

If you follow the references back to the chapter titled "The Results of Studies into the Effects of the Wands of Horus" you will see that there is no reference to researches by S. Gorbunov, they are references to various medical researches, read for yourself here in the  original book under Medical Studies and look for [2].
